Our clients wished to transform their existing kitchen which was cramped and disconnected from dining and living areas. Problem: the existing villa already reached the maximum BYA permitted in the detaljplan. The solution? A new 15 kvm ‘attefallstillbyggnad (bygglov-free extension) creates a new dining space which, in turn, facilitates an enlarged and improved kitchen area with open connection to the living room. Externally, the extension is formed from brick, to match the existing house, and a pergola structure mirrors the new extension and defines a new al-fresco dining area to the west.
