We are a friendly, creative architecture studio based in Stockholm. We work primarily in Sweden and the Nordics, along with selected projects further afield.

The studio is led by Englishman Edd Rushton, a registered Architect in both Sweden and the UK. With a strong Scandinavian sensibility, our work is also influenced by our British heritage. We believe this international background lends a unique quality to our work and to our signature “ego-free” customer-focused approach.

  • Edd is an Englishman who trained in the UK and practiced Architecture in London before relocating to Stockholm with his Swedish wife and family in 2019.

  • Edd brings extensive experience across architecture and construction. Prior to founding Rushton Arkitektur, he led the design and delivery of major residential, commercial and education projects - often with budgets exceeding SEK 100 million - at an award-winning London architecture practice.

    While the studio now works at a more personal scale, this ‘big project’ expertise forms the backbone of Rushton Arkitektur and the service we provide. All projects are approached with professionalism, creativity and careful management of budget and practical considerations.

  • Rushton Arkitektur gained attention through the design and construction of Edd’s Stockholm home - Villa Lundberg - a project showcased on TV4’s Grand Designs Sverige.

    Since then, the studio has established a strong reputation for intelligent, thoughtful and well-crafted residential architecture.

    The studio’s work has been widely published across Scandinavian and international design media - including Residence, Di Weekend, The Times (UK), Sköna Hem, Plaza Interiör and Expressen.
